Bar of Beauty Spa & Skincare (“Bar of Beauty,” “we,” “us”) operates the website https://nola-spa.com and our studio at 742 Royal St, New Orleans, LA 70116. We only collect what we need to serve you:

• Contact details — your name, email address, and phone number when you send us a message, book an appointment, subscribe to our newsletter, or place an order.
• Order information — the products, treatments, or packages you purchase, and your shipping address for physical products. Payment card details are collected and processed by Stripe, our payment processor — they never touch our servers.
• Appointment information — the treatment, date/time, and any notes relevant to your care (for example, skin sensitivities you share with us).
• Site basics — your shopping cart is stored in your own browser (localStorage). We do not run advertising trackers.

• To fulfill orders, schedule appointments, and answer messages.
• To send service emails: order receipts, appointment confirmations, and appointment reminders.
• To send our monthly newsletter. When you contact us, book, subscribe, or purchase, you consent to being added to the newsletter list — and every newsletter includes a way to unsubscribe. One email to hello@nola-spa.com also removes you instantly.
• To keep simple client records (visit history, preferences, notes) so we can care for your skin better over time.

We never sell your information. We share it only with the services that run this website, only as needed to operate:

• Stripe — payment processing and invoices.
• Supabase — our secure database (orders, messages, appointments).
• Vercel — website hosting.
• Google Workspace — sending and receiving email.

Each processes your data under its own security and privacy commitments. We may also disclose information if the law requires it.

Order and payment records are kept as long as accounting and tax law requires. Messages, appointment history, and client notes are kept while you remain a client so we can serve you well. Newsletter addresses are kept until you unsubscribe.

You may ask us at any time to see the personal information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it (except records we're legally required to keep). You may withdraw consent to marketing at any time — every newsletter has an unsubscribe option, or simply email hello@nola-spa.com. We respond within 30 days.

The site is served entirely over HTTPS, database access is protected by row-level security, and payment details are handled exclusively by Stripe. No method of storage is 100% secure, but we treat your information with the same care we treat your skin.

Our services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16; if you believe a minor has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

If we change this policy, the new version will appear on this page with an updated effective date. Material changes will be noted in the newsletter.
